Jesus Christ is an instrument of peace. Where there is hatred, he sows love; where there is injury, he pardons; where there is doubt and despair, he brings hope; where there is ignorance and bigotry, he brings understanding and tolerance; where there is sadness, he brings joy. Jesus Christ taught not so much to seek to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is through love that we are able to transform Human Society. At the outbreak of the American Revolution, John Paul Jones was in Virginia. He was in support of the "American Rebels", and on 7 December 1775, was commissioned first lieutenant in the Continental Navy, serving aboard Esek Hopkins' flagship Alfred.
Because of the naval superiority of the British, Jones used "unconventional tactics" in attacking British Vessels which would be characterized today as "terroristic". Sir Winston Churchill called him a "privateer". After a raid on the British coast in 1778, Captain Jones wrote: "....not all their boasted navy can protect their own coasts...and that the scenes of distress which they have occasioned in America may soon be brought home to their own doors." Prior to this raid, England had not been invaded by a foreign army in more than 700 years.
With in end of the American Revolution, John Paul Jones returned to Paris in 1790. He died in Paris at the age of 45 on 18 July 1792 and was buried in St. Louis Cemetery, which belonged to the French royal family. Four years later, France's revolutionary government sold the property and the cemetery was forgotten.
The burial place and Jones' body was discovered in April 1905. President Theodore Roosevelt sent four cruisers to France to return the remains of John Paul Jones to the U.S., and these ships were escorted up the Chesapeake Bay by seven battleships.
On 26 January 1913, the remains of John Paul Jones were laid to rest in the crypt of the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, Md. Today, a Marine honor guard stands duty whenever the crypt is open to the public.
And what of Benjamin Franklin, who, in a letter to Lafayette on March 27, 1779, seemed to be suggesting that the United States was willing to pay for the services of "terrorists":
Was "The Father of the American Navy" a "TERRORIST" or a FREEDOM FIGHTER"? Benjamin Franklin? Certainly to Americans Commodore Jones is a Naval Hero of the Revolution!!!; and Benjamin Franklin an honored and revered Statesman, Scientist, and Philosopher.
On April 9, 1948, the Irgun, led by Menachem Begin, massacred, raped, mutilated and disemboweled 250 Palestinian Arabs in the village of Deir Yassin. The Irgun also hung two British Offers and bombed the King David Hotel in Jerusalem killing scores of British citizens. Begin later commented that the "terror" associated with Deir Yassin enabled Israel to "rid itself of the bulk of its Arab population."
Also, in 1948, the United Nations mediator, Count Folk Bernadott, was assassinated by the Jewish Stern Gang led by Yitahok Shamir.
Both Begin and Shamir was subsequently elected Prime Minister of Israel.
Were these men "TERRORISTS" or "FREEDOM FIGHTERS"? To Jews they are National Heros!!!
The creation of the Jewish State in Palestine, in May 1948, resulted in the forceful displacement of 770,000 Palestinian Arabs (today a few million) that Israel has refused, to this day, the right to return to THEIR HOMELAND PALESTINE, notwithstanding United Nations Resolution 194, passed in 1949, calling for the repatriation of Palestinian Arabs to their homes or compensation for such. Palestinian Arabs have responded with attacks, that continue to this day, on both civilian and military targets in Israel.
Like John Paul Jones, Benjamin Franklin, Menachem Begin, and Yitahak Shamir, they are considered NATIONAL HEROS by their fellow COUNTRYMEN!!!!
